Cruising Sardinia without Crowds

GOT YOUR ATTENTION HEY!

Yes we sailed around Sardinia without crowds in fact only 10 guests & 2 crew & we didn’t pay a arm & leg either.

After a gorgeous week of exploring the top half of Sardinia we wanted to immerse ourselves on the Maddalena Archipelago in the Strait of Bonifacio .

This area is beyond beautiful with tucked away beaches, islands , places to anchor, swim, paddleboard or just soak up the dolce vita .

Mr R & I do have our own little yacht but we didn’t want to sail ourselves we wanted a holiday.

The perfect solution was booking a cabin charter with Dream Yacht charters.

This was great we had a cabin with our own ensuite aboard only 5 cabins meaning 10 guests plus our fabulous Captain Malmo & chef & deck hand Leitica

We had 7 nights aboard with most meals provided prepared by Leitica with love & flair .Malmo made sure we had beautiful anchorage for safety & being away from most of the tourist day boats.

Our itinerary meant we also went to Bonifacio in Corsica & Maddalena Island where we on the Marinas to enjoy nights out in these beautiful & so different places .

Each afternoon Malmo would find a protected anchorage for the evening. Afternoon drinks, swims then dinner under the stars was just perfect.

Maddalena Island was so pretty walking around the town after the day tourists left was a lovely experience. Mr R & I enjoyed a lovely seafood dinner & of course some gelato before walking back to marina to our Catamaran

Bonifacio on Corsica .

A taste of France 🇫🇷 the approach on water & into the harbour was breathtaking, we were so tiny compared to all the super yachts but we all shared the same harbour & ambiance.

Our night in Bonifacio we enjoyed French cuisine & looked in awe of the super yachts that were moored up near us. A glimpse into lifestyles of ultra rich & famous.

NO DRESSING UP FOR DINNER CRUISE !

Our trip was relaxing a barefoot yacht , most of the day we were in our swimwear & beach coverups . Our 58ft Catamaran meant that no one was on top of one another.

Yes you do enjoy your lunch & dinner with others, breakfast was get up & graze & 2 nights on marina meant some time off the yacht to explore yourself.

Mr R & myself throughly relaxed , enjoying the sailing & being on the water, able to jump into the aqua blue water was heavenly.

So YES we had a amazing time it’s not for everyone but if no crowds, peaceful beautiful anchorage’s casual layback this is fantastic.

We loved it so much we are now looking forward to our next cabin charter to The Bahamas later in the year………So stayed tuned .

I hope that I can inspire you , to think outside the square to travel & enjoy different experiences.

We booked with Dream Yacht Charters which has a Australian office .

We always recommend getting independent advice & of course travel insurance.

Ciao & look out for more adventures.

Yours in adventures, living life & being in the moment. Miss Paula
