So your about to go on a Adventure of a Lifetime, have you given more than a thought to how you are going to take what you need away?

My checklist for what luggage you need.

Hard Shell Suitcases. These are fantastic especially if you have the 4 wheels for gliding about. Best time to use these bags if you are going on bus tours or just going to one or two destinations . Remember you cannot pack them down, some can be about 2 kilos & if there are a couple of you travelling might not fit into a small boot or truck of a car.

Backpacks . If you are going to use a backpack for a adventure make sure its

1 Waterproof if not buy a backpack cover

2 Has a couple of entry areas ( i have learnt the hard way of a top loading bag, always everything i need is near the bottom)

3 Is good quality with reinforced straps , plus straps around waist for correct posture

Rolling Duffle Bag

These are my number 1 choice.

1 Invest in good quality with great wheels, handles. A couple of different areas to separate shoes, clothes etc

2These are perfect for camper vans unpack then easy to put away.

3 Travelling in a car soft

4 Can pull them not carry like a backpack

As with all luggage you get what you pay for, however if you invest in a good bag that is right for your trip & future trips its worth the price.

Always carry extra locks, cable ties etc . I even secure handles if travelling on a plane.

Buy some soft zippered small bags to put underwear, T-shirts into different bags for easy accessibility. Shoe bags are great, keeps your other items clean.

I always carry some airtight plastic bags that i can put things in roll then expel air to pack clothes flatter
